65 x 220 x 280 mm (bird 2) e 70 x 170 x 90 mm (bird 3);
Stoneware sculptures, bisque-fired in an electric kiln, and fired in a wood-fired downdraft kiln (fast firing, approximately 15 hours).
Bird 2 features copper oxide glaze accents on its feathers, resulting in bluish-green (oxidizing atmosphere) and reddish (reducing atmosphere) effects; Bird 3 has iron oxide glaze on its hands and beak, which accounts for the localized brownish/metallic appearance. On the remaining areas of the ceramic bodies, marks caused by the fire and the idiosyncrasies of this type of firing are visible.
