Processing of various types of wool. In this case, the photographs show a fleece of Bordaleira wool from Entre-Douro-e-Minho that was washed, combed, and carded. In the spinning photographs, the wool on the spinning wheel is from the same fleece, while the wool on the drop spindle and the portuguese (grasped) spindle is Merino wool. Different types of fibers, such as linen and silk, can be seen in the last photograph.
